Hate to deal my franchise cornerstone in Votto but ya gotta do what ya gotta do. Wainwright's injury completely messed up my team but this deal puts me right back on track. Get an excellent replacement for Votto. Howard's still a stud 1B. De La Rosa fills that void in my rotation with a solid strikeout presence. And Pagan gives me a solid backup OFer across the board who could potentially be my DH.

I will approve because there really is nothing wrong with this deal. However

This is the 7th time that Votto has been traded. This is the third time he has been traded for Howard. This is the second time this current Tigers owner has traded these two players for each other. I find this to be very amusing!

And I know losing Wainwright left a big void, but the only way De La Rosa will even remotely fill that void is if he stays healthy. He may be on an innings limit this year.

Lol I held on to Votto for quite a while I thought. Traded for him the day after I joined I believe.

And yeah, I realize De La Rosa's no Wainwright but he's still a solid pitcher and I don't need him to be ace-like. I'd be happy with 150 innings with like 4.20/1.25/140 (ERA/WHIP/K's) out of him.
