Pirates have agreed to trade Placido Polanco $5.2M and Justin Smoak (2yr) $1M to Bluejays for Asher Wojciechowski (prospect), Yunel Escobar (5yr) $1M, and Shaun Marcum (5yr) $1.5M

I agree as I like Polanco as a starter or depth. Smoak I think will hit me 25+ homers and though I like Marcum, he tends to be injury prone due to his smallish frame. Escobar I have never been happy with and Asher W. is a decent prospect (but God his last name is hard to spell  ). This goes with my plan to try to give my team a complete face lift (with certain exceptions) as I did not like what the previous owner was trying to do. |

I am not sold on Smoak (though others may be) and Marcum does tend to get injured often, however, this trade really isn't all that bad.
