Ok well now O's changed his mind and doesn't want to take on Halladay's salary. So the deal is off.
See, even when a team has plenty of cap and is underpaying for him, they don't want to take on Halladay.

It's good that we have a committee for trading. That it's not just one person's opinion. This trade is maybe not something that I would do, but it is not vetoable.
There should only be vetoes if the trade is damaging to the league
or if there is cheating or collusion.
Look at what the phillies trade Cliff Lee for last year. They tried to make it like it was part of the Halladay deal but it wasnt. They gave him away for almost nothing.
Something you need to unload salary. I could afford Halladay, but i have no chance of competing so why would I want him?
