Doumit C/RF $5.1M 2011+ (MIN)
Twins get:
Johnson 2B $3M (6) (LAA)
Laporta 1B $1M (3) (CWS)
Montero C $1M (5) (LAA)
White Sox get:
Robertson RP 500K (2) (LAA)
Fowler CF 1M (3) (MIN)
Loney 1B 1M (4) (MIN)
Angels accept because since Doumit is RF eligible I can move him there and put Laird at C, also I get Utley who is an elite 2B although I lose a good 2B, a good catcher and a cheap young good RP

Would you take this deal if Doumit is not RF eligible, because he's not, at least not till he plays there 10 games this season.

Accept. I always joke teams how they trade players right after getting them. That's what I'm doing with Utley. I got him for a low price but this gives me the opportunity to shed cap. However, he is the best player in the deal. I get a first baseman, a bullpen arm and an outfielder back, all which I like.

Since White Sox wants to shed cap then I really can't veto this like I would normally want to. The White Sox do get hammered in this deal. Robertson won't even get holds this year Fowler was given chance after chance to hold onto the CF job and didn't produce much at all last year. Loney is a doubles hitter disguised as a power bat. Angels clearly come out as winners here but Utley is a lot of cap to take on.

It's 20 games last season for eligility. Doumit isn't going to be RF eligible.

He will be by the 21st game as he is starting in RF for the Pirates this year. After that concussion the Pirates wanted him in Right and moved Jones to 1B.

Loney was awfull last year but still hit for a good AVG. Fowler has a high upside. Utley is overpaid.
