Red Sox get:
2B - Gordon Beckham $1 M (3)
SS - Elvis Andrus $1 M (3)
Rangers get:
2B-Dustin Pedroia $1.2 (5)
SS-Reid Brignac $1 (2)
i accept this trade because it is an opportunity to get Dustin pedoria who i still see as a top 5 2nd baseman. Beckham is good and young and Andrus has a lot of potential for runs, steals in the potent rangers lineup but I also feel that Brignac can be effective.
It all boils down to Pedoria >> Beckham and Andrus >> Brignac...The combination of Andrus & Beckham may be slightly better but I think Pedoria is the best player in the deal and I will accept a downgrade at SS to get him.
