Roy Oswalt Free 2011, $12M 2012 Club Option
I do this trade because Werth is heating up, Upton got injured today and I have the pitching already with Hamels, Haren and Verlander. Ranaudo is a great pitching spect and could be up in Boston sometime this year!

i accept this trade because werth hasnt been starting for me and my rotation gets stronger especially while hughes is out

This trade is a big loss for Boston. Oswalt isnt excactly fantastic and he is getting older. Werth is, as stated by the orioles, heating up and is one of the premier RF's in the game today. Also, as a Red Sox fan, ive done a ton of scouting on Ranaudo, and the guy is the real deal. Could be a future #2 or #1. And to just make it worse, the Red Sox pay $8 mil for Werths salary. TERRIBLE trade for Boston.

Disagree with Nats. Fine deal.
Werth isn't exactly young either and has an atrocious contract. O's will really be regretting that deal in 4 years.
Oswalt is a top starter who's still got a decent deal. Ranaudo's a decent spect but he's not even close to a top prospect. Only a grade B spect.

i approve i actually think O's is the loser in deal red sox get Roy Oswalt for rest of this year while O's get stuck with Jayson Werth who will be like 36 when salary ends and will still be making 10 Million plus. Great deal for both sides none the less.

I like that people call Werth old. Oswalt is young, then? By the way, Oswalt has had issues off the field this year and his velocity is down. O's win big time, no matter Werth's contract.
Borderline veto-able, but I say Approve.
