Rockies get: Roy Halladay, Mike Minor, the Yankees 1st rounder and my 2nd Round pick in 2012 (and i will b paying all of Halladays 11M this yr but he will pick his salary up next yr)
Rays get: Stephen Strasburg, Grant Balfour and Matt Reynolds
I offered this trade becouse in my mind Strasburg is the next Halladay maybe even better. And i might have giving to much in peoples mind but this opens up so much cap space for me next yr so i can sign back Albert and that was my plan

I accept. I agree with Rays on Strasburg but I feel this package gives me value for now and lot of value for the future.

While this deal seems one-sided, both teams like it. Stras is a risk but one worth taking. Plus, Rays clears $20m off the books for Phat Albert. There's reasoning and strategy going into this deal.
With that, I approve.

thank you whitesox....guys he is right, that 20 mill helps me so much for Albert, i need him for my lineup next yr, that was the whole reason for this trade...and yes Strats is a risk but its a risk for every pitcher
