Congrats to DH (former 1B) Jim Thome on joining the 600 HR Club! Today Jim Thome belted his 600th HR. Congrats Mr. Thome! Thome can now add him himself to this elite list. Jim is one of 8 people to hit 600 home runs. The 40 year old Thome did this in a multi-HR game, driving one earlier in the game. The pitcher who surrendered the HR was Tigers pitcher Daniel Schlereth
600 HR Club: Barry Bonds (762) Hank Aaron (755) Babe Ruth (714) Willie Mays (660) Sammy Sosa (609) Ken Griffey Jr. (606) Alex Rodriguez (626-active) Jim Thome (600-active)

Damn, 600 is usually a HOF lock, but I don't see him as a HOF player. Nice accomplishment anyway and a very good career.

Agree, not an obvious decision to put him in Cooperstown, but is a good guy who I'd love to see get in the hall.
