You Get: Luke Scott $3M (6), Matt Capps $5.25M (6), Astros 2011 2nd round pick
Cubs do this trade to get a top SP prospect that could end up being an ace. Also i cut a lot of cap with this trade to help me out with getting some more FA.

i did this to get a good pick in the 2011 draft, a player who quietly hit 25 HRs last season, and a great closer or set-up man depending on Joe Nathan's return

Approve. Capps is a great reliever, but relievers aren't extremely valuable. Scott is a solid player, but he's already 32. Wade Davis could be a #2 type-pitcher down the road. Rays still gets a great package, but it's fairly even.
