The Houston Astros agree to send to the Toronto Blue Jays:
SP Dan Haren 12.75M (2012) LF Chris Denorfia (2) .5M 2B Jean Segura (Angels prospect) 2B Jose Altuve (prospect) 1B Koby Clemens (prospect)
In exchange for:
C Mike Napoli (6) 3.6M SP David Price (3) 1M
I did this trade to dump a little cap and to fill a hole at catcher. Napoli should get plenty of playing time in Texas.
Price is the centerpiece of this deal. Though he may not get wins in Tampa this year he should still do well as long as the arm holds up after his first 200+ innings season.
Losing Harens K per 9 and 14+ wins will hurt but I think down the road Price will get those numbers when the Rays return to form (should they ever).

I agreed to this deal to get Harens strikeout ability and he should win (in my opinion) 15 games this year and i think Price will not get that many despite him being good. Denrofia for my bench and I get 3 'spects which two of them could see MLB time as soon as 2012. I don't mind taking on the cap as Wells could be going soon Napoli was easy to move since I will be bringing up Arencibia.

Approve, though I think you guys are overvaluing the importance of wins.
