Mariners Get:
Wade Davis $.5M (2) Chris Coghlan $1M (3) Alexei Ramirez $1M (3)
Dbacks Get:
Alex Gonzalez $2.5M 2011 (I pay his contract) Doug Fister $1M (3) Matt Garza $1.5M (5) (I pay his 2012 contract, TBD)
I did this deal because I can a great young SS with Alexei at a SS position with little depth, a solid young LF with potential, and a very solid young pitcher. I give up pitching but I can afford that because I get it back and have a strong rotation.

Approve. It's going to turn out nice for Dbacks getting those contracts paid.

Approve but Mariners gets better end. He gets a former ROY, a former White Sox SS who won the Silver Slugger last year and an up-and-coming pitcher in Davis. Sure, D-Backs pays like nothing on anybody, but besides Garza, the other two are not Davis, Coghlan and Ramirez caliber.

Approve. I think DBacks wins this one actually. Garza is a decent pitcher, Alexei is always a disappointment, Coghlan has shown little to no development and Davis is stuck in the AL East.

Alexei is always a disappointment Yes, and that was why he won the Silver Slugger last year.
