Veto. Rays gives up a lot of future talent so he can bid high on Crawford; but the only result will be that he ends up over the cap next year and has to give up half his team. All in all, a franchise destroying move.

These types of deals are what's going to make this league consider doing away with paying on contracts. It makes people who make minor to major contract mistakes non-responsible.
